to honoring the invaluable contributions of educators. The festivities began a
day earlier when the Head Girl, accompanied by the entire student cabinet and
the school band, visited the staff room to extend a heartfelt invitation to
teachers, office staff, and co-workers. This heartwarming gesture set the tone
for a day filled with gratitude and camaraderie.
The classrooms and staff
room were beautifully adorned with decorations crafted by the students, and
every teacher was greeted with warm wishes and presented with roses. As the day
unfolded, all students gathered on the school grounds, eagerly awaiting the
arrival of their beloved teachers. The teachers were pinned with badges adorned
with a meaningful quote, and the procession, led by the Manager, Sr. Elizabeth
Mathai, and our Principal, Sr. Suman Minizes, marked the beginning of a
memorable day.
The celebration continued
with a delightful prayer service, during which This special day holds deep
significance as it coincides with the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan,
a renowned teacher and a profound scholar of Indian philosophy. In his honor,
September 5th is celebrated as Teacher’s Day every year.
The students then took
center stage, showcasing their talents through many dances, including hilarious
renditions of characters from the Kapil Sharma Show. Spot prizes added an
element of excitement to the proceedings. After the program, the teachers gathered
for a Eucharistic celebration in the Chapel, where the importance of teaching
as a vocation and the profound responsibility to nurture the younger generation
were emphasized by the presiding priest.
To conclude this
unforgettable day, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) organized a
heartwarming get-together for the school staff. The event featured snacks,
roses, group games, and a sumptuous dinner, fostering a sense of unity and
appreciation among teachers, office staff, and co-workers. This Teachers' Day
was a day of cherished memories, made possible by the thoughtful planning and
leadership of our Principal, Sr. Suman Minezes, reminding us all of the
incredible importance of educators in shaping our future.
