St. Anthony's High School illuminated the morning of
August 14th, 2023, with a spirited celebration leading up to Independence Day.
The event, known as "Prabhat Pheri," was a burst of patriotism,
showcasing the school's unity and zeal.
Dressed as Indian freedom fighters and in traditional
state attire, students from the Kindergarten and Primary Sections personified
the essence of our nation's struggle for freedom. Accompanied by the school's
RSP unit and lively band, the rally featured students from Std. 4, 7, and 8
marching proudly through the streets.
What made the occasion even more special was the
enthusiastic participation of the Parent-Teacher Association (P.T.A.) members,
ex-P.T.A. members, and parents. Their voluntary efforts, along with the
rhythmic beats of patriotic songs, infused the air with an electrifying spirit.
Students wielding microphones raised slogans that
echoed the unity and pride of our country. Alongside, placards were carried to
spread awareness about Independence Day, creating a thoughtful connection with
the community.
The rally began at St. Anthony's High School,
journeyed to Mumbai Central Signal, returned via Nagpada Signal, and concluded
back at the school. Principal Sr. Suman Minezes' leadership was pivotal in
ensuring the event's success. Her recognition of the staff and students'
unwavering patriotic enthusiasm added to the event's significance.
St. Anthony's High School's Prabhat Pheri was not just
a celebration but a testament to the eternal flame of India's freedom struggle.
It united the school in a shared spirit, fostering a profound sense of pride
and unity that will undoubtedly endure for years to come.
